Seeking a Civil Engineer to be based at Glasgow.

The Engineer will take responsibility in all aspects of rail civil infrastructure design to work on local, national and international schemes.

Job Description:

Work under the direction of Senior Engineers to perform tasks in accordance with agreed budget and schedule with little supervision, possessing the ability to solve any problems encountered along with identifying discrepancies.

Assist in the provision of technical inputs, across a range of specialisms in the field of rail engineering show technical competence and through experience.

Gather and take on board the skills of others in computer based applications and tasks including use of software such as TEDDS software and Superstress / STAADPro and the Microsoft Office Suite of programmes including MS Project.

Undertake project activities in line with company policy, including technical and commercial aspects.

Plan and attend meetings both internal and external, as required.

Liaise with sub-consultants and external parties.

Participate as a team member on a number of levels, including; office disciplines and projects.

Minimum Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering

Previous experience in rail civil/structural design

Innovative and strategic whilst remaining client focused
