Seeking a talented Cook to work within an exciting business following its current expansion.

A purpose build eatery/cafe that will provide a range of hot and cold snacks. This establishment will be open to the public as well as their current client base. Based in East Dunbartonshire it will serve the local community as well as those further afield.

This rural setting will see many families enjoy the relaxed atmosphere surrounded by the outdoors and associated activities.

This opportunity will allow you to work within a brand-new kitchen, prepare a small selected menu, in time create a new team and become part of this exciting venture.

Quality is of the upmost importance and as such you will appreciate good food that is presented well, whilst the taste will have you coming back for more.

Duties:

The role will involve all regular duties associated with preparation and cooking food.

Cleaning food preparation areas in line with regulations and food safety.

Food Preparation to the specifications of client.

Ability to adjust food requirement to accommodate allergens etc.

Liaise with Group Manager for order requirements.

Ability to prepare accompaniments prior to service.

Ensures that the kitchen is cleaned at the end of service.

Estimate food consumption and organise as required.

Ability to prepare and present simple hot & cold foods where quality is not compromised.

Flexible in approach to initially work with a menu that has been designed to suit the current requirement and change through time if required.

Skills:

Genuine passion for the delivery of good quality café food.

Thorough experience dealing with hot and cold food preparation.

Good working knowledge of accepted sanitisation standards & health codes.

Able to handle a fast pace environment.

Support Group Manager with the recruitment of kitchen staff based on the needs of the business that will be assessed following opening.

Good time management skills.

Excellent organisation skills

Driving licence/car essential to get to and from location.
