A permanent position has arisen for a Material Controller within the Purchasing department of a manufacturing facility based in West Lothian.
Placing and controlling purchase orders via MRP system
Liaising with Freight Forwarders and arranging delivery
Building strong working relationships with global suppliers
Maintaining adequate stock levels of Production parts
Resolving Shortage issues and Updating MRP system
Support and share close working relationships with Production and Quality personnel to ensure requirements are continually met
Key requirements include:
Experience of working within a purchasing department
Good Admin skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages most notably MS Excel
Ideally, the preferred candidate will:
Be HNC qualified in Business Studies/equivalent or working towards it.
Having experience of import and working within a manufacturing environment would also be advantageous.
